You can now rinse the conditioner out thoroughly or deep condition by keeping it on under the dryer for a few minutes.

Use moisturizer on wet hair to hold and retain moisture and on dry hair to raise the moisture level.

What are some healthy hair regimens?

Scalp cleansing means to remove all unnatural things from the surface of the hair scalp. Note that clarifying does not mean to strip. Stripping will cause the hair and scalp to become dry because stripping removes any trace of natural oils and moisture.


Use a shampoo with a pH of 5.5 and never go over pH 6. Your scalp and hair has a natural pH of 4.5 to 5.5 so stay close to the natural pH as possible. Never use all-in-one shampoos. Some shampoos claim to clean and condition hair at the same time. These shampoos never get the scalp clean and cause a flaky build-up on the hair and scalp, which at some point could lead to low- and even high-level scalp damage.


Shampoo your hair and scalp in the shower. Note that if you hold your head over a sink, you will not be able to rinse the back of the neck area well, nor will you be able to rinse the front of your head properly, no matter how hard you try. 

Each time you shampoo your hair, plan to apply shampoo twice. Never dump the shampoo on your head. Instead, pour it into your hands and rub your palms together, spreading the shampoo down your fingers. Use a light-weight leave-in conditioner that is water-soluble and will rinse clean from the strands as soon as warm water is applied. Before applying leave-in conditioner make sure to remove excess water. Spray leave-in onto new growth and onto the ends, then massage in. Next, finger comb your hair then use a large, wide-tooth comb and gently comb through your hair.







This step is important because it will prevent your hair from drying out while keeping your hairstyle in place. Allow your hair to be exposed to smooth fabric while you are sleeping, such as a satin pillowcase. You can also tie your hair in a satin sleep cap.
